Pride

I recommend going abroad one year during our presidential elections to understand first-hand the international importance of who leads the U.S. The large amount of Italians who actually showed up to the election viewing party on the night of November4th was overwhelming. I knew the U.S elections were a big deal abroad but never experienced it hands on. There was music, a few bands, food, and live streaming of CNN. Although a lot of the music was cheezy and I was hoping for more live coverage versus entertainment, it all lasted until 4 a.m (however we didn't find out the results until about 6 a.m). The support for Obama was phenomenal!

Obama himself even made a special visit, all the way from Chicago!

This is a dark photo but I'm standing in front of the huge stage along with hundreds of others.

One of the bands that peformed at the Election Party.

The U.S flag over the stage.

I stole this graphic from another person's blog. I thought it was nice to see these words that describe Obama supporters.
