Happy Thanksgiving!

A few final touches on the food.

Pumpkin shooters. These were great!

Turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes!

Brussel sprout & parmesan cheese casserole

Pumpkin bread and chocolate chip cookies!

MC and her Italian drivers license. Congrats! (She just got it after many dreadful tests).

Nothing's better than toppping off dessert with a little board game- Cranium!

I'm thankful for my loving husband and family and friends, among so many other things. I'm thankful for my health and grateful to have a job that allows me to live in such a great city. I love you Criiis and family and friends!

I know I'm a day late but hey, we didn't celebrate our Thanksgiving until yesterday, Saturday. Here in Italy we don't exactly get Thursday off so we all had to work Thursday and Friday. Saturday was the obvious day to celebrate and have our big feast. Our friends MC and AU were kind enough to host an awesome lunch at their flat. Everything was amazing! I still can't believe that MC prepared everything.

Our menu consisted of: pumpkin shooters that we started off with as an appetizer. It was like a pumpkin soup and was delish! We also had turkey (of course), stuffing, gravy, cavolini di bruxelles (brussel sprout and parmesan cheese casserole), mashed potatoes, cranberries, apple pie, chocolate chip cookies, vanilla ice cream, and last but not least pumpkin bread AND pumpkin pie. Complementi to the chefs, davvero!
After lunch we spent the next three or four hours listening to Christmas music and playing Cranium and Charades. I still can't believe we spent 11 hours at their dining room table eating, drinking, and playing games,... and eating.. and eating.. and eating..! I guess it goes to show that times flies when you are in good company! Thanks again MC and AU for hosting an unforgettable Thanksgiving!
