+ So far I have bought a cute white linen dress from Zara, six cute shirts and two more dresses from H&M, a pair of brown leather sandals from Romano Firenze, a pair of red Puma sneakers, and only spent 186 euros. Have I said enough that I LOVE the SALDI (sales)? Okay so maybe that's a lot more in dollars and all but just don't remind me of that. + The other night, along with the rest of the world, C and I watched the Michael Jackson Memorial. I am glad we got to see it live on tv. It's something I'll never forget. We'll all miss you so much, MJ!
+ Tonight we are going out for pizza at our favorite pizzeria in town w/ DM and KD. Wooh hooh!
+ Saturday's big events include waiting for a grocery delivery in between 12-2 and then who knows what else. I love the grocery delivery store in Italy. STILL don't know why the U.S hasn't caught on to this idea. Here it's only 7 euros for them to deliver your groceries to your home. You can order practically ANYthing on their website AND they carry it up your stairs, which is REAL nice when you live on the fifth floor and have 76 steps to go up each time. :)
+ Today I almost hugged an American man because he was polite enough to move out of the way and let me go first when we were both trying to squeeze by on a narrow sidewalk. He put his arm out as if to gesture "go ahead" and let me pass first. It almost brought a tear to my eye because ya just to find that kind of common courtesy here in Florence, folks. I get more jabs in the ribs and toes stepped on on a yearly basis in this feisty city filled with uncourteous locals that I almost forget how friggin' polite Americans are.
