Translations Gone Bad

Call it exotic, call it charming. I like to term it as lazy or just plain carelessness.
But I don't understand why people (in this case- the city and resturant owners) don't use dictionaries before they put up signs in front of their respective establishments.

The above picture is of a sign found in a major parking garage here in Florence. "Cassa" in Italian means "cash register." NOT "cash." Seems pretty easy, right? Well apparently someone didn't feel like doing their homework before making about fifty of these same exact signs for the parking garage.

This one is actually kind of funny. Near my house there is a new Kebab shop. Instead of saying on top "Taste of India" (Sapore dell' India), it says "TEST of India." Hilarious, I tell you. Hilarious. I can't stop but chuckling every time I pass the Great Test of India every morning.
