With work, jet lag, and the overall "hustle" (no pun intended) upon my return back to Firenze, it completely slipped my mind to post a blog about one of the most fabulous and amazing parts of our trip to D.C. (Aside from your wedding, R & G!) As the wedding events continued throughout the weekend, we soon learned as the weekend progressed at our stay at the Palomar that the neighbors above us were Snoop Doggy Dogg, Incorporated. It turned out that Snoop and his friends were in town for a concert on Saturday, 9/1.Our weekend suddenly turned into star-stalking.. or at least my weekend, did.. Chris was lucky enough to ride in the elevator with Snoop, as I worked hard to catch a glimpse of the oh-so-cool rapper. I "casually" waited one afternoon, hiding behind a book in the lobby, just to see the artist of the first c.d I ever purchased (Doggystyle) pass by. I finally did get a glimpse on Saturday night, as Snoop was leaving the hotel for his concert. I know you're dying to know, but he DID look at me and smile! We made complete eye contact and it was exhilirating. Thanks, Snoop, for making me smile!!
