Thanks, MZ

Thanks to MZ's post that ranted and raved about Gap 1969 jeans, I convinced myself that I had to try a pair. So I used my handy 30% off coupon AND the gift card KS got me for my birthday in August and got a pair of GAP jeans for next to nothin'.
I chose the "Sexy Boot" style and got a pair in dark gray.
I'm not sure how they'll fit, but next week when I'm home I will be able to try them on and take them back if need be.
Oh and P.S: I could really get used to shopping online every Friday! It just feels RIGHT.

New Year's Eve Outfit Ideas

Here are just a few of the many dresses I like on Modcloth's website.
They've got super funky dresses that scream "New Year's Eve!" I don't know what I'll be doing this NYE, but I know wherever I'll be I want to have a cute dress for the occasion!

Fashion WeekEND Paris

Little ol' me loved admiring the fashion in Paris this past weekend. Every time I go to Paris, I love staring at all the beautiful people who are so well put together. It's as if Parisians all just stepped off of a runway. Too bad this is the best outfit I could come up with while admiring all the beautiful people! Ha!

This girl is especially fashionable. You probably can't see her well, but she's wearing a fabulous gray dress, knee-high boots, and a hat that pulls it all together. This girls' look screams "I'm a model and I look fabulous." Is it okay if I just used the word "fabulous" twice?

There were tons of ankle boots, which I'm still confused on how to wear.

I love how Moms in France (and Spain..and Greece.. wait.. a lot of countries in Europe) are always dressed well. None of that velure sweatpant business (ew) going on here, infant or not.

This man was ridiculously chic. Check out those ruffles! American ladies, can you imagine any of your husbands pulling this look off? Or WANTing your hubby to dress like this? I know I can't. Ha ha!

We were even lucky enough to spot an actual fashion shoot. This mademoiselle was modeling for a wedding dress shop in the Marais. Ooh lah lah.

Work it, girl!!

I was trying to get the girl on the left's outfit. She's sporting some cute ankle boots, too. They seem to be a theme in this entry..

Another fashionable gentlemen at the park.

Another cute mom.

All in all, it was a FABULOUS weekend for fashion stalking. I took some notes, too, so that my drab jeans-and-a-shirt wardrobe can take a few hints on tweaking 'her up a bit.

Bonjour!

P.S- More restaurant and hotel pics to come, too.

Pimp-ocity on my ears

Check out these pimp earrings I just purchased from Etsy. The seller is "VeraVinn" but I just looked on Etsy and she's temporarily not selling again until the end of July. (I must have just ordered right before she closed up shop). She has a great offer- if you buy three pairs of earrings you get another pair free! All of these earrings shown were only $3.20 a pair.

Hello, Miss Poopy Pants

I see these kinds of pants quite often here and I always stare. This time I took a photo, although it really doesn't do it justice. The girl on the left is wearing what I like to call "poopy pants," because that's what they look like! They are pants that fall down beneath the crotch for about a foot and droop. I don't understand how girls walk in these but somehow they manage. I'd really like to know if girls are wearing these in the U.S. (?)

They're baa-aack

Uh-oh, ladeez. It's that time of the ye-ar. Around every April or so, Italian men bust out the colored jeans. The most common colors are red and orange, and occasionally you'll see bright yellow or green. I would love it if C wore some red jeans; it would be soo cute. Too bad he won't. He also won't wear capris, either, which I find adorable on tan men. :) Sigh. Oh well. Oh and I don't think that Italianos are the only ones who sport these trendy trousers. Last summer when we were in Spain and France I remember seeing the same thing. I love it.

Cute as a Button.... Sike!

These two young lovebirds thought it would be soo cute to wear matching colors for Easter Sunday. How sweet... NOT! If you're not on your way to the park for a family picture, then there's really no excuse to wear matching colors. Why? Because it's L-a-m-e. Happy Easter!

These Boots are Made for Bloggin'

Dear Italian Girls,

Don't you ever get tired of wearing boots? I don't understand how you can wear them the same exact way from September to June every.single.year. When I was "fresh off the boat" in the fall of 2005, I thought that the boots-over-the-jeans-look was in style that season. Then, 2006 rolled along and I learned that that wasn't the case. Now, it's April of 2009 and women are still sportin' this same, boring and uniformed look. What is the deal? As my fashion-guru girlfriend MZ says, Italians "are very fashionable, but not always risk takers and like to stick to what they know." This is oh so true. In addition to boots over the jeans, poofy black jackets with fur collars and aviator sunglasses are a must. :)
(The picture above is from the Internet. But I promise that this weekend I'll take some photos of actual people so you can believe what I say).

Love,
Me
