This post is waaay overdue but on May 4th, C and I celebrated our two year anniversary by going to see the performance of Cuban band Compay Segundo. The band is made up of family members of the late Compay Segundo, who was a Cuban trova guitarist and composer who also invented the armonico, a seven string guitar. He was known as the Father of Cuban music and is considered a legend. He was one of the main singers and composers of the Buena Vista Social Club, too. The concert was great; the eight-man band's passion for their music was more than evident and extremely contagious to the fans! It was great to see Compay's legend live on in the band while celebrating two wonderful years of being married. :)
