*_* Okay so how's this for the most unusual and bizarre thing I heard all day: "I have only gotten tear-gased twice. " This is coming from a friend who is protesting in Iran. Me: "Be careful, man! Don't mess around at those things! Better yet, just don't go!" :{
*_* The best things about the weekends- dance-athons in my living room. Currenly jamming out to Cutting Crew's "I Died in your Arms Tonight." Another current favorite is Arcade Fire's "Neighborhood Fire #1. " Am in.love.
*_* Am fascinated yet so disturbed by Connie Culp's story that I read about on Oprah. America's first face transplant patient not only was shot in the face by her husband, but she has had to endure over 30 face surgeries to even look somewhat normal. And she actually went back to her husband after he shot her!
*_* I'm excited about date night tonight with my honey. We are making burgers and watching t.v. Tomorrow night is pizza night with friends. We're going to try Pizzeria Zero Zero, where our friend is the pizzamaker.
*_* If you like prison memoirs/short stories, check out Couldn't Keep it to Myself by Wally Lamb. I haven't been able to put it down.

I hope your friend in Iran is super careful.
Yes, just six weeks! We MIGHT stop in Austin on our drive to CA. We have to stop in San Antonio for sure and we are still debating if we want to stop in Austin, too. We will let you know if we do! And I agree, I'm so nervous for my friend in Iran. Yikes.
