One of our Christmas presents last year was a daily calendar of 365 Ways to Say "I Love You." As the 2007 year creeps to an end, I'd like to post a few of our favorite entries from this cheezy, desperate calendar. Although some of the daily advice is cute and quirky, others make me naucious. We have come to the conclusion that the person who developed this calendar has A. never been married or B. was written by a woman in the 1930's or C. both."Absolutely refuse to whine, nag, and complain!" I'll try but I can't make any promises, hubby!
"When she's upset, go after her." (September 12)
"When he's upset, give him some space." (September 13) Interesting philosophy...
"Put some chocolate kisses in the dresser drawer with a note saying "There are more kisses where these came from." ooh lah lah..
"Wear an outfit that color coordinates with what she is wearing." ..can this get ANY cheezier?! How does this express love exactly, again?
"Stay in shape. Chances are, you'll enjoy more healthy years together and be even more attractive for the one you love." What? I have to work out to be attractive? ha ha
"When he apologizes, be quick to accept it and drop the matter." Really?
Whoever wrote the calendar 365 Ways to Say I Love You clearly watched a little too much Leave it to Beaver!
